The weather has not stopped the City of Mississauga from delivering great events at Mississauga Celebration Square!

Mississauga, a City of Fesitvals

Mississauga knows how to celebrate its multiculturalism and does so all year long. Having hosted over 200 festivals to-date since opening in 2011, Mississauga Celebration Square has seen one million visits and celebrated that number with a ‘Thanks A Million’ campaign.

Celebration Square located in the heart of Mississauga’s City Centre and across the street from the Square One Mall area. Let’s see what events are coming up in May 2014.

National Public Works Family Fun Day

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Raising awareness of Transportation & Works services and activities. Learn more about how Mississauga delivers services to residents including: managing Mississauga’s roadways, bridges and storm waters management systems – plus, how Mississauga Transit is operated and the enforcement of municipal by-laws. Bring your family out for a fun-filled day!

MS Walk

9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As the MS Society of Canada’s largest fundraising event, the MS Walk unites Mississauga residents together to raise funds for research and services. Fundraising goal: over $165,000! Join MS Walk for a day of fun, exercise and most importantly, helping a great cause! MS Walk Official Website

City of Mississauga Bike to Work Day

8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Why not try cycling to work? Cyclists can enjoy a free breakfast at Mississauga Celebration Square from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The annual group ride invites you to join them at Riverwood Park – ride alone or with a friend! Event is hosted by the City of Mississauga, Smart Commute Mississauga and the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee.
