Saks Fifth Avenue is opening its first stores in Canada at Toronto’s Eaton Centre (February 18, 2016) and Sherway Gardens (Feburary 25, 2016).
Canadians are looking for luxury department stores. To cater to these shoppers, Saks Fifth Avenue will carry more luxury goods and pricier items than they currently sell in the U.S. Saks Fifth Avenue Canada will carry brand names including Burberry, Alexander Wang and Stella McCartney. Saks features a lineup of over 800 fashion brands for men and women as well as footwear and accessories.
Saks will be joining The Bay at its trendy Queen Street location in the Toronto Eaton Centre. In Sherway Gardens, Saks is taking over the Sears section of the mall. The department store is getting a $1.25 billion makeover; which will be competing with Holt Renfrew and Nordstorm.
In addition to the Toronto stores, Saks Fifth Avenue has just announced another three new locations, part of its plan to open 25 locations by 2018. The new locations include: Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills, Ontario (opening Spring 2016), Rideau Street in Ottawa, Ontario (opening Fall 2016) and Premium Outlets Montreal in Mirabel, QC (timing to be announced).
The redesigned Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH stores will be the model for the Canadian locations. Open and bright layout with beautiful displays and a wonderful shopping experience for guests.
