Heavy rainfall on Monday July 8, 2013 in the evening have caused numerous floods, blackouts and chaos across Mississauga and Toronto. Record-breaking rainfall of 126 millimetres of rain, surpassing 121.4 from Hurricane Hazel in 1954. Over 300,000 people were without power last night across the GTA. Toronto Floods – Affecting Flights at Toronto Pearson Airport

Toronto Pearson has cancelled several flights, while other flights are delayed. Check Toronto Pearson’s Website for more information. The website was down due to the flooding yesterday, so you may need to contact the airline directly if the site does not work.

Toronto Floods and Mississauga GO Trains

– Lakeshore West: bus connection between Port Credit and Long Branch.
– Milton: No stops at Kipling GO Station, and delays due to signal malfunction
– Union station is closed and evacuated.

  1. Hey, do you have any idea when the stores at square one will be open? I was there yesterday and it was a mess! Never seen so much flooding… hope everything gets cleared out quick.

  3. I lived through that yesterday. The Milton line 6:23 go train dropped us at Dixie Go station and we had to walk through the Dixie/Dundas area. It was flooded like crazy. Cars were sinking in the water, people were in panic.

    It took me 4 hours to get home. I feel for the Milton stop people.
