As Canada's 6th largest city, Mississauga continues to grow and develop its city. Located west of the city of Toronto, Mississauga is nested on the north shore of Lake Ontario. There is no shortage of things to do in this city - from entertainment to shopping. Downtown Mississauga is continuously developing to create a more exciting downtown with pedestrian-friendly streets to shop, visit and eat. In the summer, residents and visitors can expect more outdoor cafes and patios in the near future. Getting to and from downtown Mississauga will be a breeze with the improved transit, starting with Light Rail Transit (LRT) along Hurontario Street; connecting Mississauga's downtown with Port Credit South and with north Brampton. For commuters to downtown Toronto, it will also be easier with an improved bike path and an expansion of public transit.
An exciting new outdoor venue in Mississauga, Celebration Square is becoming increasingly popular with residents and visitors as Mississauga's state-of-the-art multi-media event spot. Celebration Square is a public square located next to Mississauga City Hall in the heart of Mississauga's downtown; offering community festivals (like Rib Fest), live concerts all year round (including a free New Year's Eve bash) and much more.
